I reviewed 30 Upwork profiles in 3 days. They all followed the same bad patterns

Hello all! Recently, 30 Upwork profiles were given to me to be analysed and roasted. I promised to write 10 points about each one but 28 out of 30 would need 40-60 points next time....

To be honest, I feel real pain while looking at all of them. Only 2 out of 30 I was able to count as good-working profiles, where I found only 10 mistakes (on each). Other profiles were not acceptable to work on Upwork. Same mistakes that lead to the lack of invitations and low reply rate.

Top mistakes

Lack of main request repeated.

25 out of 30 people were repeating their main keywords only once-twice.

Wrong titles that do not exist on Upwork at all.

Mixing not matching subcategories with your niche

12 profiles out of 30 but 4 without spec profiles at all!

Missing filling some profile sections

Most common:

• employment history
• consultations
• other experience
• certificates

Wrong skills that Upwork doesn't count

Writing an account's description as a list of keywords.

20 out of 30 profiles

Quick reminder: that's how you are not going to be counted by UMA.

Also, lists of tools and industries are counted as just separate keywords.

Guys, that's crucial.
