Agency ownership transfer
There are two ways to transfer. And it's not a choice. It depends on what is available on your account. Upwork...
- Easy way - just a transfer ownership button under the agency owner account.
If you have it, you need to have a member as your team admin (business (agency) manager) in your agency. You will be able to choose him and initiate a transfer.
Both accounts should be good standing.
The new owner is in need to confirm it from his email.
- If you don't have a transfer agency account data
Then you need to have a member as your team admin (business (agency) manager) in your agency.
All checkboxes should be chosen.
Then write to support and prepare the reason to transfer.
Specify whether this is a company acquisition, sale, or internal ownership change.
Provide the current and proposed owners' details.
That's it. You don't need to close active contracts simply to change who manages an Upwork agency.
