News about Upwork video meetings and about Upwork ban's appeals

Upwork allowed to invite guests to your video meetings 😄

Hurray

Here’s how it works:

1. Start or schedule a video meeting in Messages
2. Click the Copy meeting link button or copy the browser URL
3. Share the link via email, chat, or any other channel

When someone clicks the link, they’ll need to:

1. Enter a display name (unless they’re logged in to Upwork)
2. Accept Upwork’s Terms and Privacy Policy
3. Allow mic and camera access
4. Wait in a virtual lobby until the host lets them in

Btw, thanks to Andrii, zoom was also allowed! SO now video meetings too.

Upwork updated its Appeal process

Right now, if you are logged in (which means you can log in) you also may see appeals tracker

There is a new link to appeal for everyone https://support.upwork.com/hc/en-us/articles/5313574196627-Appeal-an-account-suspension#

New things:

1. You will be considered to be checked only if: you prove it's a mistake OR you have a new information to re-check
2. If your restriction is temporary they ask you to reply to the emails not to this form
3. Now you SHOULD receive email explaining the reason for the suspension and next steps
