Maybe you are surprised that your freelancer/agency has asked you to change your job post title and skills. You feel it's suspicious and odd.
I know that many freelancers are asking for that but not all clients are agreeing to change. This article is an explanation why people keep asking that and also an easy instruction how to make it.
I wrote this article in a way that any freelancer can send it to any Upwork client without a need to rely only on a first impression trust.
So why is it important?
If you are not going to pay this freelancer and feed his kids till the end of their lives, you may understand that he will work with someone else one day. Upwork profile is a sales tool.
To match with future opportunities, your freelancer needs to have similar jobs to the job posted.
They will be similar if they are in the same category/title keywords/skills. That's why freelancers are asking you to change your current post. That's Upwork SEO.
Instruction
You need to change a title of a JOB, NOT AN OFFER.
- Go to https://www.upwork.com/nx/wm/all-jobs/
- Find your needed job post
- Click on 3 dots
- Click on edit posting
- Click on edit title and/or skills button and change to the desired ones
- Go down and click save job post
- Hurray! So simple and you made your freelancer happier!
