Project Catalog. What to do with it. Article requested by Etcetera ❤️
Hey hey! My friend Denys from Etcetera said that my blog is missing a big explanation of Project Catalog algorithms. And here we are.
Before I start, this is bug, don't be crazy, don't panic, it's a bug

Agenda:
- What is Project catalog?
- What to post there? 3 strategies
- Algorithms.
What is Project catalog?

It's like Fiverr on minimum mode:)
You can sell fixed price projects here. For example, I'll do a landing page under 5 sections for 500$.
This feature is quite young - around 2 years old. It works in an interesting way and has very old algorithms.
The good thing is that projects are recommended for the Business clients, also clients have a button to search through it.

What to post there? 3 strategies
Sell what you really-really want and can
Like for real, make your packages and sell if you are in the mood/the ability to sell something for a fixed price. It should be a standard offer. That's the best as it could be really bought and you will like it.

Cheap to get more views, get attention, get direct messages
Put 5$ and wait:)) Upwork will show you more if it is also suitable for algorithms. However, be careful as it could be bought right away.

There is good news as right now you can cancel any purchased project during 24 hours WITHOUT any harm to your JSS.
Expensive just to be used as keywords
Put a large amount there so no one will buy it right away; however Project catalog will still influent you in a talent search.

Algorithms
Formula=keywords+starter pack+delivery time
When I look at Project Catalog algorithms, it puts me into a nostalgia mode when Upwork was easy and dumb 10 years ago:)
- Choose your personal keyword and repeat it 100 times:)

- Price
If you want to be even hire, make a small starter pack like 5$ (but warnings are above)

- Small delivery time

- 20 project catalogs
As more you get as more chances to be viewed.
20 is the maximum, so I advise getting them all done.
